I’m in the process of upgrading my high performance sound system in the XC60.

Chap advising tells me the centre dash speaker isn’t actually a speaker......just a grill.

I didn’t realise until now that only the HK system actually has a working centre speaker there (I had it in the last XC60), I just thought the main difference was the surround sound and amp/dsp. Not that you also lost a speaker.

What upgrades are you doing? I'll be interested to see them, I used to be big into car audio but haven't bothered in my daily driver for quite a few years.

Hi Eddy,

New component speakers at the front, sound deadening in all four doors, new speakers in the rear (not component though), new Audison Amp/DSP, and finally a sub under the boot floor.

Going for one of the Audison amps that basically has a bit one built in? They do look nice. Presume you're going to take speaker level output from the amp under the front seat then?
Be careful, I'm sure I've read that the rear outputs are high passed quite high so don't use the rears for the sub input.
