Default Scanners that can actually read/reset ABS codes and more

I have an ODBII reader bought of Ebay that I use with Torque Pro. It's a bit hit and miss on the connectivity at times. I did try to scan my ABS light on issue, but none were found, so I guess it's not capable of doing it.

Is there a decent scanner that can do a lot but for not a lot of money or is the VOL FCR from https://www.ilexa.co.uk/diagnostic-tools/vol-fcr.html the only thing that will actually work for a 1998 V70R? Was looking to spend say no more than £50 but I guess you get what you pay for.

Yes, an ELM 327 OBDII dongle plus the 850 OBDII app for android phone - this has already been explained on one or more of the recent ABS problem threads.

I just bought these items for my own ABS problem, £20 delivered for the dongle and £1.69 for the app, so cheap enough, and yes it does work. I cleared my codes with it, and i'm just waiting for the light to come on again to read the fault code and progress my diagnosis from there. Not driving right now though as I'm down with severe Covid!

Thanks as always Luxobarge. I'll try that app. I wish you a speedy recovery from the COVID.

Thanks Baffler, I'll get one of these too. I'll try my current ELM OBD2 dongle first with the 850 app.
