Default P1800 values - what should I pay?

I would greatly appreciate any advice as to how much I should expect to pay in the current market, for a P1800 S or E coupe in each of the following scenarios:

(A) Truly exceptional (potentially multiple concours winning) condition;
(B) Excellent all round condition, no rust, mechanics rebuilt and totally sorted, very clean interior, but not concours winning condition;
(C) Relatively low mileage and unmolested, no major rust problems, but needing restoration and rebuild.

Finally, does anyone know of an owner who has a car in condition (A) or (B) who just might be tempted to part with their treasured P1800 if offered a price which, shall we say, "they probably couldn't refuse"?

Any advice would be very much appreciated!

There are no hard and fast rules to these prices, it is a subjective thing. You can put it like this: How much do I want this car? Vs How much money can I afford to spend on acquiring/restoring it?
No two people will give the same answer to those questions, even for the same car.
Having owned many of these 1800's in the last 25 years - and restored four or five from various states of disrepair, I can give you some ball park figures, but thats all they are and people will disagree:
True Concourse car (only two or three in existence): £12,000+
Exceptional first class car: £7500 - £10000 (plenty advertised as being in this class but not many actually are)
Original car needing some work: £5000, approx - the biggest gamble of the three, could go horribly wrong but could be the cheapest way to a good one if you have the skills and facilities to improve it AND you choose the right car

I may be tempted to sell but only if a very good price is offered. My car is not concours but is in very very good condition.
I would put its condition as one. But one / two at the very least.

The car was stripped down to its shell some years ago by a previous owner and resprayed in its original colour with new chrome and window seals. I have a huge history file with just about every MOT since new confirming the 95000 miles, although there is no evidence of new panels. I have inspected every inch of the car and can find no evidence of welding anywhere. Not underneath, inside or on top. The boot area is perfect and so is the footwells. The drivers side outrigger has some corrosion and needs replacing but other than that there is no rust or rot anywhere nor is it hiding.

My advice on looking for a cars condition is to look in all the nooks and crannies with a magnet as these areas are very difficult to repair properly and not show any evidence of repair. My car has none of these worries.

The seems are all there and in the right places

The engine bay is detailed and the paint is almost as good as the exterior.

The interior is original and the seats although show minor wear are very good with no splits. The dash has no splits and the carpets have minimal wear.

The two litre engine was completely rebuilt at a huge cost and mildly tweaked with a K cam and costom made large bore stainless steel exhaust. The engine drives as it should in all conditions and sounds good with 50 psi oil pressure. The overdrive gearbox is also in perfect order. There is no whines or clonks anywhere.

What I like about this car is the originality and that there seems to be no repairs or bodgery any where, it's a very straight, original and genuine car. I own several amazons and have owned classic cars and maintained them for the past seventeen years so I know a good example when I see one and this will not disappoint.

I know it would take me a very long time and thousands of waisted mileage to find one as good as this, so i'm not prepared to let it go unless a very good price is offered, but it may not be in the right condition for you if you are going to throw thousends of pounds at it to make it perfect for concourse as it is in a condition that is perfect for being used. Some cars are just too good to drive.

To sum up You would have to pull out all the stops to make me part with it but you never know

Amazondean, thanks for the info and pictures - I really appreciate it - you have a great car there! I'm giving it some serious thought and will send you a PM. Meanwhile I'm following up a couple of other avenues of enquiry that have just opened up.
