Default Annoying squeak cured 122S

Sorry not been on in a while for various boring reasons.

After years of trying to cure an annoying squeak which sounded like the mating call of a randy budgie from the rear, including checking all the bushes on the rear suspension and replacing the shocks I became convinced it was actually the back seat itself.

Out came the squab and various items, pens, dog biscuit!, screw driver and 10 mm spanner. Ha cured it. Nope just the same.

Back rest seemed solid enough and then I noticed the paint had been rubbed off the metal tab that holds the bottom of the seat in. Wiggled the seat back with squab out, nothing. But when the squab was back in the back rest moved up slightly, just enough to squeak. Straightened the tab out and forced it to hold the back rest fully down against the parcel shelf and then, with difficulty, tapped the base home and YEEEEES squeak has gone.

Just for info if anyone else has the similar thing.

And replacement is not guaranteed to cure the problem.
