Default fuel leak

I have a 1998 S70 which has been quite reliable and was recently MOTed and serviced. I hadn't driven it for a few weeks and when I tried to start it, the engine seemed to lack power and when I looked underneath, there was petrol dripping from the fuel tank area. The dripping stopped when I turned off the engine. I'm assuming it not safe to drive and I'm trying to work out whether it is going to be worth trying to get it fixed.

Any advice would be appreciated (e.g. likely causes and cost to fix, things I can check).

There was a fairly big wet patch after running the engine for 1-2minutes.

The drips seemed to be coming from where hoses are connected to what I think is the bottom of the fuel tank.
source of drips

It looked like one of the hoses has deteriorated although I'm not sure if this is the source of the leak.

Thanks

Leaking like that you certainly don't want to be driving it anywhere. If it's only leaking when running I'd say it's the pressure of the fuel pump that's finding the weak spot in the system,I'd certainly start by replacing those hoses and see how it goes from there.

Try looking at the fuel filter. Our S70 did exactly the same thing. The new filter was £12.50 if I remember correctly.
