Default S60 D5 for sale for Spares or repair

My 05 Plate s60 D5 has let me down. On Christmas eve it dumped most of its engine oil onto my driveway. The RAC man took a look and tells me it is the crankshaft oilseal that has gone. I believe this would have wrecked the clutch as well. The vehicle has done just over 100k miles and is in a reasonable condition ( slight damage to front valance and thumb size dent in rear door). I cannot afford to have it repaired nor have the means to do it myself so it has to go. I am open to any reasonable offers but not being too sure about value I am thinking between 750 to 1000. Please pm me if you want any more details. Other issues with the car, Probably needs new glow plugs as hard to start and the Amplifier does not work. Pictures can be provided

There is a core plug for the oil system in the D5 bellhousing. why Volvo put it there is beyond science but they did. In early cars it's rubber and perishes and fails doing exactly what yours has done.

The new core plug is about 75p, the problem is that - as you suspect - there is a chance that the clutch may well be goosed as well. Either way you're much better off getting this fixed in my opinion.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for all of the interest and advice. The car is now sold. Apologies for those who sent PM's. I cannot send private messages due to forum rules.
