What did they insure for that?
Mine is £300 plus and that's a lot cheaper than the CC .

I will probably have much the same postcode as you hence the question why you got such a good deal.
I'm with Towergate through my broker who also insures his van through them.

Insurance is a funny thing- 2 miles up the road and my insurance would be cheaper, 2 miles down the road it would be dearer. It's worth noting that my caravan isn't worth a lot. 1999 swift challenger- old but as it's our first we love it

Seriously I think you are better off with an older van, mines a 2004 bailey vandee, got a few dinks in it from a previous owner but as they are cosmetic only I can live with them, they also make the van easier to recognise.
Insured with caravan and camping club and stored in a Dutch barn on a local farm. I check on it regularly and it has an alarm system with prominent stickers proclaiming it's alarmed. There are far more appealing targets for a would be thief than my caravan but as I say I am not complacent about it.
Had a previous caravan broken into at a secure storage facility, me and 30 others, didn't have the same looks on it after.

Paul.
