I thought it was quite a smart design and made me think I could live with one of those.

My wife had an Auris estate 2015 - 2018 which was the 134PS hybrid earlier version of this setup. Drivetrain was good, dashboard in front of the passenger was painted silver and reflected sunlight badly, plastics lower down, under the dash, were made from old margarine tubs. The cover under the glovebox fell off after about 6 weeks, the dealer made attempts to fix at each service without much success, it would fall off every three to four months.

I always fancied a Subaru, I thought they were well engineered, though rust could be an issue in some models. There's a service center near where I live. Don't see many on the roads these days, the emissions based road tax for the power available really hurts them.

Really like the Prius, has a Citroenesque vibe

There must be a market for it. It’ll be interesting to see what the depreciation will be like. Polestar depreciate like the clappers… EV stands for money pit

I can't help feeling that with people simply unable to pay the ridiculous sums demanded for these things Volvo are in danger of cutting their own throats.

There clearly is... those with plenty of money have to spend it somewhere I guess.

Indeed….. If I’d had somewhere to charge it, I’d risk a punt at a Polestar. One of my neighbours has one and it’s been no trouble as yet and it gets lots of use. Think I’d rather drive a Polestar than an EX30

Just seen a Volvo electric in the local supermarket car park. It actually reminded me of a Hillman Imp but not as nice looking and totally soulless and uninspiring in design. And it was in the most disgusting shade of yellow as if some giant bird had flown over, not long after having eaten a discarded curry.

Daughter and son in law will be over shortly in their Muskmobile. I've just read the electric meter and they'll be getting a bill if they plug it in. Our bill over Christmas rocketed and I'm not falling for it again!
