throttle position sensor
Hi,
I am looking to replace the tps and I know this is on the throttle body but can anyone please tell me where it is located ? I havent bought one yet and was wondering if its a job I could do or is it a job for a garage ie how easy is it easy to remove and replace ? Also the rubber pipes ( 3 i think) that come from the turbo and are screened with a foam material look like they may need replacing. Could anyone tell me the part no or what they are called so I can order some from volvo. My cars a 97 v70 t5 Cheers Steve |

RE: throttle position sensor
The throttle body sits between the inlet manifold and the final piece of rubber intake hose. Under the bonnet you will see a black cover with a cable going inside it somewhere. This cover conceals the throttle assembly. Take it off with a torx driver and you will see the throttle cable which operates a linkage, which operates the throttle. Directly opposite on the other side of the throttle body is a square like sensor with some wiring connected to it. This is the TPS.

RE: throttle position sensor
Andrew Page motor factors should be your cheapest place for a new one. Quote them the Bosch part number that will be on it some where and is about 10 digits long.
