Hi Tommy glad to hear your keeping the car now.
Believe me you won't regret it. Yes it will have the odd problem but by modern car standards they are so easy to fix and maintain. If you get a problem then post it up in the general 700/900 section and you will get plenty of help(eventually) Despite what the ODD one or two say this is a very friendly place and I for one am glad to be part of it. Not sure if you were thanking me for helping to fix it though?I only praised the pictures and info. And didn't actually help you out with your problem. I would have helped you though if you had asked. Regards Brian. |

Was thanking you for your comments on pics,I couldnt believe how quick my mate fixed it,The pipe that slipped off was under the injection manifold,I couldnt see,I had a 1989 740 Limo before this, but was to big for were i live,so sold it after 9 months,Big mistake that was,as it was superb, with only 52,000 on clock,so i was determined to get an other as i really do think they are great cars. All the best,Tommy. |

Hi Tommy thanks for the thanks!
Seems quite a few have or have had volvo Limo's on here? Maybe I'm the only one who likes posting pictures of mine? I do like to see other peoples cars regardless of what they are though. So how long did you have the Limo for? I just got my second 940 sales brochure today.Still not much in the way of extras listed but strangely this brochure is a bit different. I hope your car continues to give you good service,A little bit of preventative maintenance goes a long way. Regards Brian. |

Hi Brian,
Had the limo for approx 9 months, I touched lucky i got the limo and an N Reg 960,I only paid £500 for the 2,I bought them off a Firm that had gone into liquidation, I sold the 960 for spares on ebay for £365,so the limo only cost me £135 then £80 for an MoT,Kept it for 9 months then was offered £850 for it, so i sold it, Ive only had this 740 for a few weeks, but i am determined to keep this one as it drives superb and is in nice condition,I also have a 1966 Humber Super Snipe, which i am in the process of restoring, I will find the pics of my limo and put them on the site,The number plate was worth £6,000, but it was non transferable Tommy. |

Well I never? A humber supersnipe! Have you been checking up on me as I have always wanted a supersnipe.
When I was younger and went looking for one they were still too expensive so I bought something that looked a bit like one with your eyes half shut. A 3 Litre austin landcrab .It must be the twin headlites as I had a P6 rover 3.5 V8 auto.and that had twin headlites. You did well with the limo and the 960.well done you. Just refreshed my limo post.nothing much new just a bit of nattering by me Lol. Regards Brian. None of these were mine just a few I found on the net.But mine was cherry red like in picture 7 and a rare manual box with overdrive in third and fourth.Self levelling hydrolastic suspension and a super smooth straight six cylinder engine and rear wheel drive. |

The Snipe is a 3.0Lt Auto, Engine is really sweet,Needs an interior and the chrome work doing,I suppose i will get fed up with it soon as it is just sitting on the path, Most probs end up on ebay Haha,My mate has gone down to buy the Gold Volvo that is on the site,In Louth i think,So god knows what time he will be back,He will be up here early 2morrow to show me it.All i need to do to mine now is find out about the eratic fuel gauge, have been told its common,so no doubt someone on here will know the cure for it,Cheers,Tommy. |
