Default engine service light

Hi all i havevolvo xc90 2.4d5 giving me trouble at the min. Started getting engine system service required coming on and soot filter full .so got it scaned and showing up the following faults dpf filter blocked . Tried regeneration but no good so took it off and got it professionally cleaned and refitted and re set soot particle counter , still getting the soot filter full coming on and runs rough/lumpy up to 1500 rpm . Getting fault code 2000 for coolant temp sensor faulty signalalthough it is reading ok on dash and on scan tool and 56Aa oil quality level and temp sensor faulty signal . The strange thing is you could leave the car a few hours and go and start it and it run ok for miles and then you could start it and it could bring the engine service required on straight away , makes me think its a sensor or something simple , did notice the catalysator temo sensor dropping out when trying to do re generation the other day and it would abort the re gen , going to try a second hand temp sensor to see if it cures that fault first , any ideas / input gladly taken

We'd both better get out of here sharpish. It's all blonde leather, crystal gear knobs and hybrid witchcraft. Don't want to upset them taking about engines.

Ha-ha

But now you've got me worried and paranoid. I've got one of these fancy pants XC90s on order, and yes, I'm afraid I did spec blond leather. I've not even got it yet and already I can feel an 'us and them' split in the community. Are we really that bad?

If it's any help I'd like to declare in my defence that it won't have a crystal twizzle stick for a gear knob or a hybrid power system. But even I can see that's like saying my garden spade is only gold-plated, not solid gold. I'm not helping myself here, am I?

Regards
