Default emissions warning

Hi. I have a 2001 V70 non turbo with 130,000 miles on the clock. It's been a great car with no problem exept srs air bag warning that I have just sorted out and the emissions warning used to come on most of the time whilst running on lpg. Lately it has started running rough at about 1500 / 2000 rpm on gas and then refused to run at all on gas, this has been sorted... one of the wires to cylinder 5 had broken through, but the sheathing was holding the wire in place. I have changed 2 coils also as they were starting to cause bad running on petrol. Since I have sorted these problems, the emission warning has not returned. I am telling you this because the person that I bought the car off said that the emissions warning came on because it was running on lpg and the sensor was getting confused( this is what she had been told by the company that looked after the conversion on the car). Has anyone else been told similar stuff to this. The system is a prins system by the way.

The light should not be coming on when running on LPG. Its not the first time I have heard that an installer said the engine light comes on so you know its running on gas!

At least do enough research before having a conversion done to know the lambda light should not be on.
