How do I access the injector. Where about is it?
It's on top of the engine, there are 5 of them, one for each cylinder.

The fact that someone else found a loose connection on No. 5 injector, which led to comms problems, does not mean that this is the case for you.

Number 1 injector is at the pully belt end of the engine, they are numbered sequentially from the #1 cylinder at the pulley end

Injectors are immediately visible once the engine insulation cover is removed.

Further covers may need to be removed to access the injector connectors depending on what type of engine you have (you do not mention this so I do not know if you have petrol, diesel, 5, 6 or 8 cyclinder engine)

Surely the gearbox did not have a fault and it was doing what it is designed to do by reacting to another major fault and locking it in 3rd gear for limp home.
Once the real fault is cleared gearbox reverts back to normal.
