Default Help! Dashboard Clocks not working

Hi, I've had the floating console out to fit my carkit in 55 plate s40, no drama until I started the car, all was fine but the speedo, rev counter etc aren't doing anything, also no warning lights are on when the ignition is on.
What should I try first, fuse I guess but can't see from the book which one should power it?
Any hep appreciated,
Thanks, Nick

you have left one of the plugs out on the centre console :-) typical symptom of this . OR the device you installed is messing up the communication signals ,put it back to standard and see what happens

Thanks for the quick reply, when I tried I had all the plugs in but the
floating console wasn't actually back in place properly,
I've noticed 2 little infrared type eyes on the back, could these not
Being lined up be the cause?

How does the car kit actually work, does it integrate with the cars wiring system? I am trying to establish if your kit is 'tapped' into the cars wiring causing the problem.

There is a fuse box under the glovebox at the far right, its drops down. which fuse it is I dont know, you may have to go through each one as I dont think they are that well numbered. My cig lighter blew and I couldnt locate the fuese as they werre so poorly numbered, I had to go through each one until finally I found it.

I've was about to fit an iso converter lead to power the kit although at the point the dash died hadn't, I reckon it may be that the console was wired up but not back in place or a fuse hopefully,

yes that is the cause , you have left one of the fibre optic plugs out .. you should not be able to see any of the light .. This is not a conventional radio you cant use ISO connections ...

The carkit is a Parrot CK3100, had 3 of these now and sync well with allsorts, Nokia, Moto, HTC, BlackBerry have all been fine.

http://www.expansys.com/d.aspx?i=168545

The iso adapter is suitable for any Parrot kit.

The only tweak needed is the yellow power cable needs to be ignition only so had to run a wire from the back of the fag lighter.

Hope that helps.
