Default Rattle coming from inside instrument cluster

In this cold weather a REALLY annoying rattle has emerged that is fairly constant depending on the road roughness.

I've tapped and pushed on and wiggled everything I can reach whilst driving with no change.

Is there a 'common' place where a rattle is on ~2008 ~MY2009 V50s?

Going to REALLY **** me off no end if I can't find the cause.

I had a very annoying rattle that seemed to come from the dashboard. Turned out it was the rear view mirror plastic casing. The part that hides the mirror stalk attaching to the windscreen had come slightly loose and was vibrating against the windscreen

In turn the noise was directed at the dashboard by the angle of the window making it seem as though the dashboard was to fault. When it starts squeeze the casings together and see if that helps.

When i have had similar problems before it turned out to be something loose in the engine bay.
Make sure everything is tightened, tied down and not rattling there first.
