C30 General : Thermostat housing position

I am having trouble finding the thermostat housing on my Volvo C30 2.0D 2008.

I have read some posts discussing how it is under the upper manifold and above the starter motor, however, I seem to be unable to find it.

Has anyone got a good image showing where it is on the engine, or an engine schematic to show me where it is.

I think I am just being stupid, but I have spent some time looking around the engine bay.

Thank you in advance.

P.s I have exclusively been looking at the front of the engine, as that is obviously the easiest place to get to.

It is the plastic housing on the engine above the gearbox where the three large coolant hoses meet and there is a sensor in it ..
