Ball Joints

Hi all,

Finally decided to replace my front wishbones as the bushings are shot.. however... ive found that there are 2 ball joint sizes! the 18mm and 21mm!

Does anyone know which you would need for a 57 plate s40 sport 2.0d?

long shot I know!

i ended up finding something that said if the vin number is 209291 onwards its the 21mm ball joint

basically (by the looks of partsforvolvosonline) the 18mm was for 04-06 and the 21mm was 06-

however.. they may be wrong.. so ill check back in when they are fitted!

last time I called volvo and asked for a part number for the air con condenser.. ordered it.. wrong part. they are useless every time I speak to them and have to do all the investigatory work myself so always best to check!

haha yeah I will mate! haha yeah it was quite fun! i didnt fancy taking the car out with a cv boot thats been superglued on.. but it seems to be holding really well!!

ive just got a few more things that i really want to do to it!

21mm fitted bang on!

i would strongly recommend checking your rear front wishbone bushes everyone, mine is a 65k car and they were shredded.. to the point where i could turn them easily by hand about 45degrees! not ideal!

just been out in the car and the wheel hop is all gone and the front end feels much tighter!

when they go again im going for polybushes :P
