Unhappy Very expensive parts!

Hi. This is my 1st time on the forum so I hope I'm posting in the correct bit. My S40 2.0D (05 reg) was recently service and came back with a list of eye-wateringly expensive reccommended repair. 1. A brake modulator 2.3vst for the anti-skid device at £759. 2. A partical filter regeneration at £590. 3. An E Oil (??) top up at £120. I like the car and don't want to get rid, but unless I can get parts & repairs a lot cheaper than my Volvo dealer is offering, its going!. Can anybody help please.

It makes you wonder how these prices are justifiable really, that's ridiculous.

Give these guys a ring

FRF - 01792 790066

They are a Volvo dealer and give discounts on parts. Just say you've been recommended to call them via the VOC forum.

The discount code is C3 if they ask.

See what they say. Would be good to know what they quote you (if you don't mind letting us know )

Did you at least ask them to expalin to you what those things are (in terms you`ll understand) and why they told you they needed attention / replacement?

for the dpf and e fluid, you might aswel get the system removed for £3-400 and save yourself the money and hassle of it going again.

google it and youll be able to read all about it
