I think I have, I tried leaving the battery disconnected overnight as a last resort on Thursday night and it's not done it since, and I did a 100 odd mile round trip over the weekend as well, although now I've said that it'll of course do it again no doubt haha

How reliable are these please?
I've ordered up a couple of bulbs as they are probably deteriorated.
If not, it could simply be the relay in the CEM that needs to be changed out.

Fitted new turbo oil return gasket and seal that where the cause of my suspected blown turbo just before I put the car in storage 2 years ago

What a pain in the a** to do on the floor thankfully now able to give it some enthusiastic loud pedal to blow out the cobwebs and it’s back to enjoying the smiles per gallon without the James Bond smoke screen from the rear lol

Now I just need to try and fix the fuel sender so I know how much go go juice is left

After being unable to find the key for the stupid 10 point reverse torque head tuner wheel nuts earlier on I ordered a replacement key, and then some normal ford wheel nuts, proper wheel nuts those ford ones are, I think I've put a set on every single car I've had that has had m12x1.5 threads, that rotating washer part makes all the difference, also ordered some locking wheel nuts too while I was at it.

v40 1.8 petrol 2001 : Just an update on the cheap china jet washers from ebay - now failed 10 months later. So confirming what we probably all knew. Better to pay for the Volvo quality products than buy cheap knock off rubbish.

Haha, funny you should say that! I needed one for the MOT, and I replaced it, but I also prefer to do both sides for everything, as a general rule.

But, I didn't. And now the other one's knocking!

Default Fuel sender repaired

Today I repaired the fuel sender so now I no longer have to guess how much fuel is left in the tank

Low and behold it was the infamous wire that had come away from the connector so just whipped the sender out slapped a bit of solder on it and it’s good as new the most difficult part was undoing the plastic locking ring and when I say difficult I mean time consuming but got the job done in just under 30 mins

Looks as though someone had already tried a make shift repair and a bad one at that they just bent the connector hard against the plastic and pinched the wire with it cowboys
