Youres looks rust free aswell, my mate is still racing his compact it really refuses to die that thing lol
I'm not spending a fortune on wheels because it is for all intents and purposes going to be my drift car to replace my e36 318is but for now it's my daily until the t4 is fixed. Wheels don't really matter as on drift days it'll be running all manner of tatty 15s with knackered tyres anyway.

It's not bad especially for 165k on the clock. Scabby on the top with random bubbles because the last owner washed it once in 6 years but underneath is spotless, unlike my 318is which is spotless on top but rotten underneath.

Do people still have CB radios?

I had one of the CB 27/81 type, back in 1981, when they were first made legal.

Watt pole mounted to the guttering downpipe for a decent signal

Had it for about four years, then sold it on.

Never fitted it to my car, as I was too young to drive, but a few of my older mates did.

Brings back great memories, driving about in my mate's car until 3 in the morning, then getting up to start work at 7!

Can't do that any more. At 47 years old, I like my mattress too much these days!

Gary

Being a year younger than you Gary I could not drive back then either so I had a CB mounted on the handlebars of a Raleigh Grifter with a rack on the back and mounted on that was a 12 volt motorcycle battery and a DV27 antenna. It worked really well so at 13 years old I was truly a mobile CB'er and would go up the downs here in Sussex and get out for miles.
People do still use CB, not me, stopped that in the 90s but now do Amateur radio.

Yea still loads about Gary depending on the area youre in Gary, and it's becomming popular again due to being more fun, the cb's have come along way I'm guessing you just had a standard am radio back then, you can now get fm aswell as am, depending on the radio you can get side band. Should be great fun in Aberdeen being a shipping place. My stepdad and uncle had them back in the 80's it's where it all started for me back then everyone had one lol. Much more fun than a boring mobile lol you don't get to play with swr meters, plug cables in etc lol.
