Clips are a bit of a nightmare to bend so if you go that route and given they're not expensive I'd advise you get a few spares for practice

ben;

To go along with the Seat Suspension Kit I offer, I also developed an all-metal Seatback Suspension kit (neither are available currently), but if you haven't committed to the organic rubber bands yet (which will deteriorate again!), you should be able to get much of the important info with which to copy my design, from this:

Older type wire coat hangers are usable for making clips. Modern ones tend to be thinner. If you don't have any, ask around. Likely found hanging a shirt that hasn't been worn for years!

Hi, I have found the hooks at the following upholstery supplier (Black Barn Upholstery Supplies). They are being delivered in the next couple of days so can update you on their suitability. They are called Centex Hooks btw

Well done on the detective work; they do look pricey unless you're getting the hooks alone at a reduced rate?
From the photo though they seem much higher quality!

Hi, they are £2.60 for 8, seems like a good price to me.

I must have been looking at the wrong thing!.....that's much less painful and a lot easier than wire origami

Thanks Steve, I managed to get some hooks for the Pirelli webbing from Discovery Upholstery, they’re done the job really well. Just under £10 for 10 delivered next day. Needed to reshape them slightly so the had the same reach as the original clips and file about a mm from the seat frame eyelet so that they hook in but they work really well.
