Thumbs up V40 CrossCountry Purchasing Advice

Hi,
I am new to the Volvo Community Forum. I am interested in buying a Volvo 2017(17) Volvo V40 T3 Cross Country Nav Pro Auto (Winter Pack, F/R Park Assist) https://www.clivebrook.co.uk/used-ca...r-park-assist/ from a franchised Volvo dealership. The car has 24,304 miles on the clock and appears to be well looked after and is being sold at £13,500. Is this a fair price and is there anything that I should especially look for before buying the car - in terms of checks before buying the car eg common defects, recalls, problems with auto transmission or should I be able to trust the dealership. (I am a previous Saab owner and so long as the cars were serviced and used cars brought from a recognised former Saab dealership they were fine).
Thanks a million for any thoughts.
Kind regards, Robert Minton-Taylor robert@minton-taylor.com

I have a V40 auto with the T2 engine which is basically the same as the T3 but less powerful. I have done over 50,000 miles and have not had any issues with the car. From reading this forum there don't seem to be any common defects with the V40 and I am not aware of any recalls. My car has been main dealer serviced from new and if it needs anything else like brake pads or tires it goes to the main dealer
The automatic transmission is a six speed Aisin torque converter transmission and is very smooth with the petrol engine. Volvo say the transmission fluid should only be changed if the car is used for taxi work or towing but I will probably look at getting the fluid changed when the car gets to about 70/80,000 miles.
You should be fine buying a car at that mileage from a Volvo main dealer and in any case it will come with a one year Volvo Selekt warranty.
Talking of Saab I had a Saab 99 many years ago, a really nice car.

We buy any car dot com value that/would pay you £11,800 so I guess thats your base price, add in anything the dealer had to do to 'prep' for sale /service/warranty etc & 13500 looks OK, try for 12795 and maybe settle at 13200 max?

Looks similar to mine (except I can't abide a black interior).
But I don't recognise the description. I have a brochure in front of me. It was available as a 'Cross Country' or 'Cross Country Pro'. The latter has the Sensus Navigation as standard.

On the non Cross Country the model range starts at Momentum and there is a Pack with the term Nav Plus that gives Navigation, Cruise Control and Rear Camera.

Mine is the Cross Country (with Blond interior) and just has the Winter Pack. Seems the same spec as this.
