Sorry no pics. I’m not up to speed yet on that technology. Dave described how to do it a while back but other stuff has got in the way.

On your back with head under front of engine and feet out in front. Locate sub frame longitudinal chassis member ( one on each side ) and follow it towards the front of the car. There should be a collapsible shock absorber poking out of the front of that chassis member. The shock absorber itself is mounted inside the hollow chassis member secured by two bolts through the chassis member from one side to the other. These are not the ones you are looking for. The plate on the front of that shock absorber is what the bumper is bolted to and the nuts should be visible from your prone position.

I might be wrong on this but i think you can also remove the inboard end bolts from the impact absorbing shock absorbers Ian has described then pull the bumper off complete with the shock absorbers. Allegedly they absorb impacts up to a certain speed without any damage to the bumpers, can't remember if it's 5, 7 or 10mph but i suppose it could encourage "parking by Braille"!

I think they do as I drove into the back of a fiesta a few weeks back with quite a thud ( he started pulling out from a roundabout and then decided not to ?? )

Jumped out to apologise and he did likewise couldn't find a mark on either car ??

I might pull off with shock absorbers as i Have some Easton inner frame treatment and it might make that job a lot easier I will take breaker ones off for a trial run. Thinking of getting all my paintwork done in the late spring anyway as its better weather for that kind of thing
