Volvo S40 does nothing to start engine

Good evening forum, my name is Claudio I am from Chile, nice to greet you! It is a pleasure for me to be here and share with you the project I am doing. I inherited a volvo car from my Father, specifically a Volvo S40 2.0 year 2002, chassis YV1VS29691F769503, i dont know more details if u can help which needed some adjustments. Here where I live there are few trained professionals for this type of vehicles, so through a piece of information I entrusted the car to a "recommended" mechanic who assembled it completely, I bought new cylinder head and rectification of all the parts that he requested, the detail that at the end of arming the vehicle tried to start with the key without generating spark in the coils, this person with a scanner determined that the cams had been badly armed or out of point, to which he reinstalled them saying that "everything had left ok ", now it turns out that when the vehicle starts it is dead, it does nothing, only the lights, electric seats, alzavidrios work, but it does not try to start, the board has an orange arrow constantly flashing a ding ding alert sound. I called another person who scanned him and he tells me that he gives error p0602 that it is a fault in the ECU, finally after so much parade of inexperienced mechanics I have decided to repair it myself and revive the car in honor of my Father. I check de start motor is good I need to identify the exact model of the vehicle. I have doubts if the ECM box that is located on the left side of the steering wheel No. 30896697 corresponds to the ECU of the vehicle. How can I reprogram it? I do not know where to start testing cables, I have knowledge in electricity and computer science, but not in automotive electronics, I appreciate your opinions and observations on this subject for me are very helpful, thanks for reading this rant that seems like Chinese story. As I understand it the orange arrow flashing is saying there is an issue with the gearbox.The none start could be down to the PNP switch[can also make the arrow flash]which prevents the car being started in gear.is the selector mechanism adjusted correctly so the gearbox responds to the movement of the selector lever?

The module with part number 30896697 on the left side of the steering wheel is not the car ECU/ECM. It's a CEM and contains the relays for all the lights, and wipers. The ECU/ECM on your car is a metal box under the stereo, all the way down to the floor at the very very front of the car. You have an automatic car, so there will be another module just under the radio, which is also metalic and it controls the gearbox. The ECU/ECM is below that and forward

Good afternoon, kind regards, very grateful to you for following my project, I am very excited because with a tester and simple tests I have managed to detect: 1 defective relay and 1 damaged 20 amp fuse corresponding to the motor system, which I replaced and the engine tried to start again, I checked that I have a spark in the coils, I made a visual inspection and the mechanic removed the cam shaft sensor that fortunately found it, now I have to find out where it is installed and where it goes piece. I feel that I am on the right track! Do you think I can rule out failure in the ECU when starting sequence is generated? I don't have a scanner to validate. At the moment I continue working to identify what the dashboard lights correspond to, and details that are emerging, so your observations and indications are very helpful to achieve this goal, see you later, drive with caution.

Hi guys, when turning the key now the vehicle tries to start, I checked sparks in the coils and spark plugs is ok, however it still does not start. My query is: can the PNP sensor be blocking the start motor? When changing gear in reverse should I turn on some light on the board? How can I test that sensor? to discard, grateful attached

If the engine is turning over and you're getting a spark at the spark plugs tis would rule out the PNP switch as a cause of the none start.It would suggest either no fuel is getting through or an issue with the valve timing could your mechanic have got the timing 180 degrees out?
