Tyres,battery,wipers,door Closing,boot Strut

Hi there,

Reviewed the forums and want to know what you recommend for new tyres on 2002 S40T 205/50/R16?
Getting rid of Pirelli's at 55kms
Seek Low the noise and want long wear and wet.

Who has changed their battery?
How long did you get out of it?
Did you put the new 600 crank in yours?
What brand do you recommend?

Wipers have been replaced.
Did you replace with new "plastic" factory ones?

I find the right front door latch not allowing me to close door on first light pull close. Anyone experience this?
What did you do to fix it?

Right boot strut broken at the bottom.
Anyone experience this and replaced it?

Tyres, depends how much your willing to spend really, I used to have continental contact sports on my old 16's and could fault them,

Battery should last for years, amazing what a slow charge can do, petrol s/v40's should have a 520Ah and diesels have the 600Ah ones altho i have a 600 on mine its only because of audio in boot.

Wipers hmmmm i put a set of genuine ones on last time i put some on,

New check strap needed,

Boot struts don't tend to break on s40's it tends more to be on s60's

Original battery lasted 5 years, second battery only 2!!!

Tried Goodyear and Michelin tyres with no probs.

Rooster---Had the check strap changed once and the hinge pins twice!
This stopped the creeking but now find that the drivers door needs more omfff to close!
Oh and I am talkin about the claw latch in the rear centre of door stopping the door from closing smoothly on first pull.
Check and see if they are metal or plastic, think you will find the originals metal and new ones plastic for the spoiler!
