Question 2001 s80 executive rear console screen

I have just aquired a 2001 S80 Executive with a rear center console. There is a Panasonic dvd player DVD-P10EC. fitted in the console locker, but there is no screen fitted in the console. Just a hole and no wiring, Could anyone assist with a model number or where to aquire a replacement screen and fitting instructions. Any suggestions , ? CAREFUL !!!
Cheers

Is that the one with beige interior that was on Autotrader recently (in Nottingham)?

I've just bought one myself.

I saw it on Autotrader - looked a nice car. Bought one myself last week from Uttoxeter, just waiting for the guy to get his reg no transfered then I can go collect it.

Regarding the screen in the back, I can take a look at mine (when I finally get it) to see which screen it is if you like? Alternately I'd say that as the screen is 10 year old technology now you might be as well buying a more up to date model that fits in the hole you've got.

If there are any meets coming up in our area we'll have to get together and compare cars!

Thanks for that , I asppreciate the thought, and would relish any information you are able to give with the screen.
I have just been to Felixstow and back with my S80 managed 31 m.p.g which was poor. , its not quite running right it ticks over lovely in drive but as soon as you put it in neutral or park it surges, I have tried redex in going down but that has'nt cured it and given it few squirts of carb cleaner, Something is not just right somewhere , Tried to see if its the idling valve as per the fix on here , but mine is different from the fix described, the air ducting fits underneath and not on top as per the fix. So its a bit tricky to get at to clean. Might be a bigger job to take it all off to cleanout. and havent got around to that yet.

Cheers Keith.

Hi Keith,

I looked at the setup in my car - there is a button which increases the brightness of the screen so I don't know if a "normal" cheapie screen could do the same.

FYI here are links to some parts diagrams that show the executive stuff in the back. I don't know if that helps at all, they look horrendously expensive through Volvo channels, maybe you could source them elsewhere?

Hi! I suppose I can help you. When I was looking for the fridge, I found one guy, who had complete rear assortment of parts: fridge, power sunshade, shelf, rear seats, console... Unbelivable.....
He did not wanted to sell just the fridge, so I have had to buy complete set. I have the monitor what you are looking for. What do you have - storage compartment or just hole? If hole - than somebody solen TV before selling the car to you. In case you have storage compartment - you never had TV and there will be just part of wiring. My car did not had DVD and TV, just empty console (Level 1). Due to missing wiring I decided to install aftermarket TV. Hard to find same size, but I managed, and I purchased two of them. So in both cases I probably could help you - either original monitor or aftermarket...
