Default Alternator 100A or 120A for V90

I have a Alternator 100A (Bosch-0123500006) in my 1998 V90 and would like to replace with a refurbished unit. Would a 120A unit fit exactly the same and prove to be a better replacement?

The original spec would appear to have been a 120A alternator :

https://www.woodauto.com/vehicle

Enter your vehicle details on that page and it should list the alternator(s) that fit your car.

What you appear to have is this one :

https://www.woodauto.com/product/ALT2067

What you should have is this one :

https://www.woodauto.com/product/ALT10553

The brackets (end casings) appear to be the same on both so perhaps it's had a replacement alternator at some point. However the alternator you've got appears as an alterative in the notes on the 120A unit so maybe the 100A unit was factory-fitted.

If you need to replace the alternator and there's little or no difference in cost, go for the increased output, especially if a lot of your journeys are shorter ones.
