A meet to many this weekend.
This is getting to be shambolic.
We really have to get some sense into the organisation of the CB meet, North Weald and Orwell Crossing. These cater for most of the South East and I really do not think we need to meet less than a month or so apart and alternating at the CB and North Weald.......maybe the Orwell organisers would rather stick to their current schedule regardless as they do cater fo a more distant community. The cost of travelling is now getting a serious and pressing issue for many of our community.....we will not get usefull numbers if this is not attended to. I would suggest that this CB meet is shelved and set for about 4 or 5 weeks hence. Regards, Don.

Who honestly looks at these bloody callenders.
There are meeting sections both here and on T5D5. The CB venue was dead at the last call with about 6 of us turning up. Putting it bluntly as it obviously has not sunk in.... To have two meetings scheduled for the one weekend on or arround the M25 is stupid. The CB and North Weald meetings need to alternate at monthly intervals...maybe less frequently and preferably never on the same weekend as the Orwell crossing gatherings. NOW HOW DO WE GET THAT SETTTLED? FFS. Call off the CB meeting that you are asking for, go to the North Weald meeting that day and reschedule your interest in a CB for about a months' time, but get the date so it does not conflict with the Orwell Crossing meeting in East Anglia. That makes sense to me...maybe not to others.... Don.

This is a ridiculous situation. I organised meets at the Crooked Billet from 2002 until last October where we had over 35 cars. There was never a problem with any dates. To advertise an event, have an enthusiastic response with people planning for that weekend and then cancel it is just ridiculous. Situations like this just create bad feeling and sends the wrong message out to people.
