Default Anti skid service massage

Had the dreaded anti skid service message pop up a couple of times over the last week so during all the heavy rain we had.

once the weather turned nice it cleared all by its self, finally got the time to read the error code and it seems to be a brake pressure sensor 2, signal too low

now I am hoping it just a damp issue with a connection but I have no idea were to find the sensor in question, so can anyone enlighten me please.

Hi.
Follow the brake lines from the abs/brake module up to the left-hand side of the bulkhead. You will see two "T" shaped hydraulic unions each with an electrical connector.
If you clean the connectors with electrical contact cleaner, and at the same time do the connectors on the brake module it should sort it.
It can be an early indicator of the little pump on the brake module starting to fail but usually is just dirty contacts.
Cheers.

Default Brake Pressure sensors

If the cleaning does not sort it , and a replacement sensor is necessary , be warned , they are not cheap.

I think the Volvo retail price is just over £200 apiece.

For that reason I hope the cleaning route works for you, it didn't for me.

Thank you for the replies, I hope it is only a damp issue.
