Mine's still my daily hack for work, 100 miles a week, and for lugging stuff around as required. We have a newer car for my wife (KIA Stonic) but she takes that to work so if I want to do a longer trip in the week I'll use the V70 and have no qualms about just jumping in and going on a round trip of a couple of hundred miles if needed.

Like David, I use my Feb. 2000 V70 on a daily basis. They're safe, comfortable and reliable cars. In some respects, I prefer my car to a newer one. I'm not paranoid about parking it in supermarket car parks, for example.
My own V70, with close to 130.000 miles up, has just this week passed its third MOT in my ownership with no more than a little attention to the handbrake. I know people with much newer cars who spend far more on their MOTs than I do. Regards, John.

I've been doing around 300 miles a week, sometimes up to 700+ a week for the last two years. 855 T5.

weekly mileage about 100
I'm still using my 1999 V70 T5 as a daily used car - it's the only one I have. 170,000 miles on clock.

As my signature shows the C70 is safely tucked up in the garage. I bought it four years ago with low mileage, full service history and in immaculate condition purely as a weekend car to enjoy. The V40 which is a similar age is my daily driver and will continue as long as it is reliable.

Funny how some cars have that effect, looking back over our car history I've had a Volvo for about 15 years now, the wife's cars have been- Proton, did the job but not comfortable for me; Nissan Almera, good car but never felt like a car that would last like a Volvo; KIA Cee'd, another good car still going well but lacked that magic ingredient; KIA Stonic, now this one might turn my head, being more upright it's comfortable, and the 1litre turbo engine gives it some life. And is it just me that prefers the sound of an engine with an odd number of cylinders? 5 in the Volvo and 3 in the Stonic.

Both my Jan 2000 V70 and Jan 1995 960 saloon live outside by the side of the road 24/7 and both are available at the drop of a hat to go wherever/whenever I want.I generally alternate between the two but it depends on what I'm wanting to do on any particular journey. The V70 is on approx. 135,000mls and the 960 is on 123,000mls.
