Default Standard 940 wheel offsets?

Does anyone know the offset of the volvo 940 steel wheels, and will volvo steels from other models also fit and clear the brakes etc? Looking for a set to get banded but 940 steels seem to be hard to come by!?

Should be offset 25mm. Not sure if steels from other Volvo's have been tried before, but with the offset of most other Volvo wheels being ~43mm the fitment will be tight at the very least.

Matty there was another thread about steelies, apparently some Ford vans ?? may fit, and the larger Peugo five-bold wheels too, however the offset may need spacing ... which I guess you've already found out.

found the thread;

Citroen xm , big peugeots including some of the vans, transit connect, mondeo, focus with 5 studs , jaguar x type , FERRARI among a few other have the right pcd but on many or even most the offset will be out or the centrebore is different etc.
From having looked at it a bit I think even the likes of big S80 Steels may need spacers

Back in December 2013 I needed two replacement steel wheels for my 1992 940 estate. The wheels already fitted to the car are part no: VO1387534, 6J x 15x 25. The figure 25 is the offset. I made enquiries with my main dealer and on-line and it appeared that there was only one new wheel available within the UK at a proce of £45.00 ex.VAT. I posted my requirement on www.breakerlink.com and www.partsgateway.co.uk. I've never used either of those sites before so I wasn't particularly hopeful. I specified Volvo, 5 stud steel wheel the part no.and the size as 6J x 15 x 25. I was surprised to receive multiple replies from different breakers. I telephoned the first breaker to reply (Volvo Saab & BMW Breakers of Nottingham) to verify that the wheels were as specified. They quoted £30.00 per wheel plus VAT. I queried the price as a new wheel was only £45.00. They responded that the £30.00 was including the tyre and reduced the price to £15.00 per wheel without the tyre. The wheels arrived the next day. They were as required and in reasonable condition. I had them shot blasted and coated by my local tyre depot.
Just in case you are not already aware of it, there is a mine of information in "The Car Maintenance Bibles" one section of which is devoted entirely to tyre markings, wheel sizes and offsets etc.

If you're having wheels banded, you could have the centres removed and refitted anywhere on the rim to give whatever offset your require - better than having to use spacers.
