Two questions
Are new volvo engines now using “addblue “
I have a 17 plate xc60 D5, how do I find information about the maintenance schedule checklist used by the dealer garage.
Thanks

Yes ad blue is required for most euro 6 engines the D4 VEA in the last of the old xc60 FWD was euro 6 with no ad blue but new xc60 use it with basically the same motor

If yours is a D5 old shape it might be pre ad blue but not euro 6 the ad blue filler is usually next to the fuel filler

AFAIK it’s only new shape xc60 that use ad blue mostly needed for euro 6

D4 VEA 2.0 fwd are euro 6 no ad blue.
D4 2.4 (AWD model) are euro 5 as are some previous motors

If it uses ad blue it will have an ad blue filler typically next to the fuel filler (sometimes in the boot or under bonnet)

Thanks for the info,
How do I find out details of what my engine is and the layout of the engine compartment as I like to be "in the know" when it comes to the car detail.
The car goes in to the dealers for a 2 yr (20k) service next week and I am trying to establish what the mileage and time based service checklist is, any help appreciated.
Thanks
Paul
