850 remote keyless locking problem
The key fob for my 850 recently stopped working, so I started using the other one, it has also stopped working, so I fitted new batteries, it still doesn't work. Any ideas?

RE: 850 remote keyless locking problem
Could be the central locking remote control receiver which has given up. On the V70 you can get to it by raising part of the dash which is hinged (so my local specialist garage tell me)- the 850 must have similar access. Does the remote only work when you are in close proximity to the car and aiming at the dash? Get your local jeweller to check your remotes' batteries - I would hazard a guess that both the batteries have not lost their power!

RE: 850 remote keyless locking problem
Hi ya,
Have the remotes handy, put the key in the ignition and move to position II, and back Five times within 10 seconds, on the fifth time leave it in position II, press any button on the remote, wait a second or two and then press a button on the other remote. Key off and out of the ignition, now try the remotes. Mark. From bay13admin

Incidentally, this fix is in the owner's handbook - it's a very good read and can solve a lot of problems....

What ages of 850 does this work for, there isn't anything in my owners manual for my 1995 estate.

RE: 850 remote keyless locking problem
According to my 95 855 CD manual it is ten times on and off with the ignition key. Tried it, didn't work.
