An exhaust leak will cause high readings. Happened to mine last year. Filled the leaks with gum gum and passed the emissions test.

I like the idea of the bonnet wrap. Be sure to show a pic when it's done.
I used four 10m nuts to raise my bonnet to stop it catching on the wiper arm, better than washers, again depends on how much clearance is needed.

Done the spacer trick today - fitted a fibre washer and its loads better but.... so washers under -where? the wiper motor?

I do have an exhaust leak but I don't know where it is exactly. There are quite a few ramps around here where I could check under the car but my car is very low and I just can't get on these. I've already messed up the front bumper a bit, got stuck on the curb in my school parking lot and ripped one side of the bumper off.

Also, my car's rear wiper motor died today..

New tyres fitted today, the 205/45 suit it so much better than the 215/40's i had, despite the tracking still being out (doing that friday at a place that can track lowered cars) it feels loads better, still bumpy as its wound down low but not as harsh, steering seems more responsive and well, its just better in general really.

As predicted the coilover adjusters have sadly seized so for now ill live with the slight scrub on the inner plastic liner, which only happens if you use absolute full lock and brake at the same time, ive had cars where every bump causes wheel arch digging into the tyre before, this is easy street lol.

The wobble at around 50 mph and accompanying bearing esque noise has also gone too, i suspected a warped brake disk or wheel bearing but no, the upcoming photos show why, i am never, ever EVER, E V E R, buying cheap chinese tyres again, despite how good the reviews or grip ratings are, as these have barely been on a year, and aside from the slighter feathered tread on the inner edge they still had well over 6mm on and were by no means old, bloody scary, and ive never run them flat either, these lovely bridgestones will do for me just fine, part worns yes, but from a man and personal friend i have known for years and i also know the history of them, they were on his astra for about 800 miles before it failed the MoT in miserable style and so was scrapped so he kept them, 100 pounds later and im sorted.

I'm not too sure if we are on the same page now, i may have misunderstand your comment regarding the wiper catching but this is what i meant. It gives the car a slightly flared look (which suits my T4), helps with heat dissipation and ultimately stops the wiper/bonnet catching. My excuses if i was barking up the wrong tree.
