Deadlock - No Access

Hello all,

I have an issue maybe someone has a resolution for, my battery has died on my S40, zero power, I jump started it this morning and drove to work. Now I cannot get into the car at all. I assume the battery has completely died and the car is now in deadlock, I have tried to use the key on the drivers door but no success. I have had to leave the car where it is for the night. Any ideas how I can get in??

What happened when you tried the key in the door?

If you can get access, you could connect a charger, or jumplead, underneath the car, to the positive terminal on the starter, and connect the negative to any good ground point and give it enough power to open with the remote if all else fails

You should be able to open the front doors with the metal key (the one inserted in plastic key)...Just try again

Key is not turning in the lock at all. Blasted it with WD40 and let it soak but it still won't budge. Anybody know if it's possible to access the bonnet catch if I remove the front grille?? If i could pop the bonnet I could get at the battery. Car is currently in a car park so I don't have much space to be getting under it 😖

Manual entry only via drivers door, only key lock on the car. Managed to get the grill off but cannot seem to get access to the bonnet catch. I'm running out of options 🤔
