Default 1996 440, 2.0 GSi Auto for sale

Hi All

Selling my 440 Auto. Great little car, but now surplus to requirements, sadly.

It is a "proper" Auto, not CVT. MOT to 27th August 2015, AirCon, Half Leather interior, electric front windows, elec mirrors - you know the spec I expect!

Only one owner prior to me decent service history from new, including original bill of sale (£15,305 on the road in 1996!!).

Slight blow on exhaust, but runs well.

NOTE: Mileage indicated is not correct. Showing 67225, as the speedo cable broke 4 miles into my ownership. I have done at least 10,000 miles, so actual mileage approx. 80,000. I've owned it since July 2014.

As seen in pictures, not perfect, but far from the worst I've seen!

Would like a quick sale if possible - I'm away from 27th April for 2 weeks, be great if it could be sold before I go.

£300 about right for a quick sale? Drop me a PM. I'm in Eastbourne, East Sussex.

Thanks for looking.

Looks like someone could get themselves a bargain there, Graeme.

Those arches are definitely salvageable

The last of the line GSis are a great spec, much better than many of their rivals at the time.
I had a 460 GSi for a while and it really was a fantastic little car, taking us 300+ miles each way on holiday and I only paid £300 for it!

Sadly though, the tin worm really had ravaged the rear arches, which had been badly bodged before my ownership, so I ended up breaking it.
Sad really, as it was a paragon of relliability. Even the A/C worked.

Anyway, good luck with the sale Graeme.

I wish I could offer it a home, but I'm having to have a clear out myself

Steve

Thanks Steve,

This has been an amazing reliable little car, it has been my work daily driver, doing about 300 miles a week without a flicker.

I fear that the daily Citroen Xsara Picasso that has replaced it, (and the 960 and XC90), may not be quite as reliable - but needs must!

Best wishes,
