1998 ME 7 T5 drive belt part number
I don't suppose anyone knows the part number of the auxiliary drive belt for 1998 T5 with air conditioning it's snapped and come off a friend's car and my local factors don't have a listing I think if I remember correctly the belt is a double sided belt with ribs on both sides the car doesn't have the PAS reservoir on top of the PAS pump like the early ones to PAS reservoir is clipped on to the expansion tank. My factors only list the single sided belt my mate is stuck in Manchester because he cannot drive the car back home with no belt on it
Thanks in advance |

Not sure if the separate PAS tank changes the belt? If not, with AC part No. is 9186352, belt is a 6 rib, 1745mm length.

Just had a look online
Just had a look online and that part number brings a picture up of a normal belt with 6 ribs on one face the original belt for this car definitely had 6 ribs on both faces I remember it clearly from when I did the timing belt and we couldn't get one then so put it back on

Hi Andrew
Just checked my 1998 T5 Auto with a/c It has a single sided drive belt. Volvo has provided an alternate routing for the belt. It is a slightly different length, so you need to buy the belt according to the routing that you choose to use. I assume the alternate routing is an improvement. I put up a post about that a long time ago. Will try to find it. HTH Steve

Read the whole thread. Hopefully it will give you what you need. I think the idler and tensioner pulleys don't have grooves so don't need/want the double sided belt. Steve
