Fitting water pump help
For my 940 LPT in the fitting kit with my new waterpump there were 2 rubber seals for the heater pipe. One is the full length of the pipe flange the other about half length. In another fitting kit I have it only has the shorter rubber so that is what I fitted. I now have a leak from the joint. Should I have used the larger rubber?

Ok. So I will answer my own question. It is definitely the small ring.Getting a tight seal on that heater pipe seems to depend on tightening the pump bolts in the correct sequence.

Hi,
When I did my water pump, I can only remember having one seal ring for that feed pipe. Getting the pipe with seal fitted into the corresponding hole in the water pump accurately and then manoeuvring the pump into position was what the seal Ok for me. Followed by levering the pump up for the head seal to be correct and then tightening up the retaining bolts. Des. . .
