This is from a car with the B&W system, but I think the "standard" system is pretty much the same, though without the Subwoofer slider. Assuming I get mine back toady I will be able to confirm, or I am sure some else will be able to

I may be wrong but I think my standard one has only seven equaliser sliders, plus it does not have the subwoofer. Otherwise its the same and I have my balance set as in the picture too.

Yes the subwoofer is available as an option, but isn't fitted to mine. There's a lot of stuff that isn't fitted to mine but the only thing I would want would be Apple CarPlay, which should be standard across the range, along with a few more USB ports, especially in the back if only as dealer fit options. It would be great to have music on a USB stick as well as one free for the phone, with the choice to switch between them for music streaming or CarPlay etc.

The traditional home audio market has been in decline so audio companies are now looking to high end car systems as another source of profit.
I've had high end meridian and B&W systems in my last two Jags as standard but of course a car isn't the best place to get all audiophile, its just too noisy an environment. A £3000 car system won't sound any better than a £500 micro system listened to in the home environment.
If you are only pushing 320kbps spotify files through the system you're wasting your time and money anyway.
Personally if I were still doing 4 hour motorway commutes and the standard system wasn't too good I'd consider the B&W system, but as I'm not, and I'm glad to read the standard system is good I'll put the £3K back in my pocket. You could buy yourself a nice hi res system and pair of audiophile headphones to listen to at home for that.

That is pretty much the same settings I have my standard system set as and find it to be the best for my preferences. The same wave like setting on equalizer and same balance. Tone and bass.

Only 5 sliders in the S90 standard system, still knocks a lot of high end over priced systems into touch, even without a sub!

Yes I have the subwoofer slider on Sensus as part of the subwoofer add on to the standard system. I am very satisfied with this setup. Could not really justify the £3k over and above the standard system cost for myself, especially as in the US they get it quite a bit cheaper so the markup must be huge.
