don't bother about a psu, as once you do a mod you can read and program with the ecu in the car,
you also need a 3.5mm jack plug and socket and a push to make switch,
you then need to drill hole in the ecu case cover, I fitted it about mid way where the ecu info label is,
from the jack plug socket you need to solder one wire to ground on the pcb and then another wire to pin 22 of the flash rom, I will find a link to photos tomorrow,

Hi Paul
the boot pin is pin 24 not as I put before

the ecu you have is a EDC15C11

you only need MPPS V13 (clone)

info on this site, I does show the boot pin on the other side of the ecu, you may find that one better for soldering to,

http://blog.obdii365.com/2018/04/09/...tag-or-fgtech/

Have you got a site that I can upload the software so you can then change maps in the bin file,
any changes you do in the file you will have to re-write the original
checksum, you can do this in the MPPS software, if you don't do this the car will not start,

when you read the ecu in boot mode, if you do t with the ecu in the car, you will need to connect a good battery charger, as you do not want any voltage drop, you will want a 15-20amp one for this, I did measure it wheni was flashing in the car and it was taking 15amps,

Dave

Hi Dave

Fantastic! I've sent you a PM with my email address. If you can send me it via WeTransfer.com that would be great.

There's a couple of different types of cables. Some are usb to odbc (about £18) and some are split cables via a controller (about £70). The cable is just ok?

I presume you solder the switch to the board to set it to 'boot mode', then connect to it through the mmps odbc cable?

If there's anything I can do for you, let me know.

Hi I will try that, it may be that VM email don't let you transfer more than 5mb
the mpps v13 cost about £10-15 ebay, I will find a link for you,
why I say 3.5mm socket is so you can fit that in the ecu, thenfit the ecu back in the car and use a switch with 3m of wire you can sit in the car and put the ecu in boot mode and flash using the obd2 socket in the car,

I use a Draper IBC26S when reading/flashing when ECU is in the car
you can switch the charger to constant voltage mode
