I've got a box of dead distributors, some already semi-canibalized...

Are you after part #26 in this drawing? That would be easy to pull one and get it across the pond.

hi
its the spindle that teh dizzy locates into with a gear drive on one end that you spin down in the shaft for the distributor before actually locating the distributor

Do you mean the gear and shaft that sit below the distrib.? This would be the gear that rides on the cam and the lower shaft that drives the oil pump. See attached scan. I guess you are after #19-22 (they are pulled from the engine as an assembly)....

I've got some dead engines I could pull one of these from as well.
