Yes it does. I have the JP701 (exactly the same as EU702), and I have loaded the Volvo file in it. It resets codes for petrol engines, but since it cannot read the S/V40 diesel engine ones up to 2004, it will not reset them either. Don't only search for EU702. Search for any of them JP701, EU702, US703 and FR704. I can then send you the files for the EU702 and you can load them in a few minutes. I was patient with mine and paid £100 which was not bad at all. I think £150+ is a bit too much. I have reset the SRS light on my car and two more Volvo forum members since I got it. In on of the cars I reset the SRS and some engine intermittent faults and then rescanned it after a drive 20 minutes later and all was clear.

Hope this helps

You are more than welcome. I got a lot of help in this forum in the past and I try to give something small back whenever I can. Let us know how you get on with the scanner you choose to buy and if it works (so other members can benefit from your experience).

JP701, EU702, US703, FR704 are all exactly the same hardware but different software for different cars. I bought the JP701 scan tool (japanese cars) and I loaded the Volvo file (ask me if you need it) and some other European cars. So my scan tool is effectively an EU702 and a FR704 and of course a JP701. Didn't bother with US cars file for obvious reasons.
I'm looking for the files for this scanner - Can I ask for help? Thanks in advance

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Yeah I saw it as it has come up in my Autosearch tool on that place............. Just hope that people are not going to outbid each other in this forum. Any help you need feel free to ask.

Also wanted to add that you will not be able to load all the files on the scanner due to the internal memory space. This however is not a problem, as you can add and remove files on the scanner by syncing it with your computer. So for obvious reasons I have not loaded any of the American cars on it and I left out one car make (can't remember which) because it was large in size. Volvo is the one that matters and mainly the other Euro cars that most of my friends have

Really?!
Literally just about to order one and I spotted this bombshell.
I've not seen the diesel shortcoming mentioned anywhere until now.
Is it well known/documented or is that your first hand experience gatos?
It's an engine code in particular I'm hoping to investigate and remedy on my 2002 S60 D5.

I was refering to the 2000-2004 S40 and V40 1.9D only. Even though they have a popular Bosch ECU, the S40 and V40 1.9D have a very odd configuration, making it very difficult to read the engine codes. And yes, it is from 1st hand experience.

The S60 D5 is completely different and I can see why it shouldn't work. Why don't you buy a Volvo DICE? Cheaper and much better than the Autel
