Default DIY LPG convertion planing but which kit to use?

I`m planning to convet my 1997 V70R to an LPG.There so many different kits out there and hoping someone with a good knowledge can help to choose one. Here some online stores:
http://www.autogas-lpg.co.uk/10-conversion-kit
http://www.lpgsupermarket.co.uk/Stor...te-kits/mintXI
Or is there any other places that offer a better deal for the money?

Only ever had the one car converted to LPG, but the Tartarini kit on my 1997 V70 did well over 200,000 pretty much trouble free miles before the solenoids and regulator eventually started giving any bother.

It was supplied and fitted by Autogas 2000 in Thirsk, North Yorks. They do sell DIY kits I think.

Good luck with the changeover.

Cheers

Jack

The basic issue with converting an R to LPG is to persuade it to run on LPG at full power, especially under hard acceleration. As far as I can tell the cheaper end DIY kits simply aren't capable of doing that. I'd seriously consider a Prins or BRC kit or some such.

They are the best but cost a lot.If thats the last choice then there is a company that does it for £1250 in London

Prins is very well know for causing VSR on many engines ( don't just take my word for it do some searching) and BRC can be a real pain to maintain.

There is somone on here who recently had a lot of issues with a BRC conversion on a R, not sure if he has managed to even get it sorted by BRC as yet??

Haha, just mu luck hah? There are 2 members on other forums that had BRC for a few years with no probs but I did read Prinz and BRC need a good set up to make them run properly.Kits like Stag 300 isa2 and LPG TECH pinted out as an easy set up and good ecus, just need to pick a better injectors and vaporisor than the ones come in the stock kit.Sorry couldn`t pm back because haven`t posted enough apparently
