Me too!

I was also thinking of a similar colour. Only thing is I have the silver wing mirrors...and I fear that might clash with anything but silver wheels.

I agree, I think they would look a bit out of place on their own. A lot of the r design cars with those mirrors also have silver roof rails at least so that compliments them. But you never know, things usually look better in reality than you might imagine.

I think darker wheels look good on the right coloured car.

I am going for black or a very dark anthracite when I upgrade my wheels, that is the advantage of bright red V50, they look spot on with dark wheels.

Another pic, this is the kind of step up I want to do with my S40 with a different set of deep dish wheels.

I used to have 18" Black wheels on my black S40 and loved them lovely offset that brought the wheel right to the edge of the wing, just a shame they were buckled to F**k and I had to return them...

They look decent and subtle, would've looked better if the S40 was lowered. You thinking of buying a new set of 18"s or you going to leave it standard?
Most probably I will stick with my 18" Medusa wheels, respray them in Gunmetal Grey, then lower it with 35mm H&R Springs.

If I do come across a set of 19"s for cheap, then I will grab them.

I've got powder coated Zaurek OEM wheels in titanium at the minute, to be honest I live in glasgow and work in bishopbriggs and the roads in glasgow are appauling and especially on my way to work so I'll not be lowering it. I don't really throw it about alot so wouldn't really get the benefit of the lowering.

The last time I lowered one of my cars (funnily enough on H&R springs) I sold it 8 weeks later as just found it too harsh for every day use (getting old now LOL), I do keep an eye out for a nice set of 18's but not seen any I fancy yet.

Roads down in Bristol are pretty much the same. I have to park on the pavement all of the time, and full of steep hills... not to mention the glorious potholes from U.K! Haha lol, your never too old to do anything just go with the flow
