Default Found something new (to me) in maps

Had to go to the MIL,s house today on the Flyde. Decided to take the long way home via Lytham and the front at Blackpool. Don’t know why cos I can’t stand the place, must have been bored. Coming up to The Tower a 3D image of it appeared on the map in my drivers display, never seen anything like it before. Switched the maps on in the centre display and it didn’t show it there. There are obviously more in the system but never seen any before. Any one else seen this.

Yes.
I normally keep clear of big towns/cities, but have noticed 3D images will driving through Inverness.
A prominent church, as I remember.
This feature has been around for some time, now.

Yes, depending on the zoom factor set for the main screen. Buildings display there also, of a reasonable detail too. As Tem says, generally in and around cities.

Appears in the main screen when set to 3D. Not there in 2D setting.

The kids love it when we drive into the centre of London - nearly every building is recreated in 3D and it looks pretty cool. Personally, I find it too distracting and try to go back to 2D without them noticing... #boringdad

Take your next detour through Liverpool. You’ll see lots of 3D imagery.
