Default V50 delivery

Has your car arrived?

I placed my order through my company car people in early May. I was told it would be beginning of July, but they have since been in touch saying it will be Sept, then October now they predict it will be first week in November.

Not impressed, but then again it will now be a 2009 V50.

Not really much difference, but they say as i've chosen foldy mirrors they will now activate via (un)lock which will be an improvement. Oh and the Volvo badge will be bigger and more spreadout...

I think the delay is due to a backlog of orders as they were going for silly money on our scheme so every man and his four legged friend has ordered one.

PS this is my 1st of many posts :-)

Regards HeliFela

I think you will find folding mirrors are standard on 2009 :-)

If you order a new C30/S40/V50 R-design now then it will be january before you get it

You will get a none R-design abit quicker but you will still have to wait

My dad ordered a new V50 D5 R-design about 3 months ago and its just landed in country

My dad was saying that the delay on the R-Design is that they are built "off line", so rather than being built and finsihed on the main production line there is a smaller scale line that is producing them... unfortunately in the typical swedish way of missing the boat they underestimated how popular the R-Design would be and so chose not to invest in the production line that would give them the capacity for it all.

Cool waiting times

Hi, I have ordered my first Volvo, an S40 T5 R Design SE Sport. Can't wait to get my hands on it, however it was ordered on 18th July and I have been told It will be ready in November. I suppose at least I know it has not been sat on an airfield somewhere gathering dust. I hope it is worth the wait.

Good evening all well all in it was a little behind in arriving by just under three weeks.
The dealer that I used to order my car wasn't the greatest only one member of staff really seemed to care she was fantastic but she and the rest of the team were really let down by a guy called richard* I'd call to chase things up and he would take my number and say he'd buzz me back (the **** never did and when I called again he would lie saying **** like I was just about to dial your number) well the long and the short of the story is that I was clearly not the only person un-happy with the way things were being done as they are NO LONGER a volvo dealership !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love the car though guys its ace

I'd talk more tonight but I'm shattered (long long story)

Placed my order today for a V50 D5 SE through our leasing company and was told 15 weeks delivery.

So some time in January.

Still something nice to look forward to after Christmas
