V50 General : - delivery dates - Page 2

Hi all,
I have just taken delivery of my new s40 10/10/08, had it a week now and it's fantastic, well worth the wait.

Well its getting close...

After ordering the car in April.

Had a call from our fleet folk to say the car has now been built, and is now in the country and they don't see there being a delay on the forecast delivery date.
This was two weeks ago, i've still not heard from the dealership which is a bit worrying considering there's five days till "D-day".

Apparently my cherrished transfer is in hand so there shouldn't be a hold up, partly due to the last transfer taking ages and I have insisted this wouldn't happen again.

God i'm so excited I so hope I go to sleep on friday night with a grin on my face.

Evening...........out of interest went to my local dealer today and there was 12 new V50's just been delivered.......so it seems like things are moving............hope your new car does you well.....all the best

Just phoned the dealership at Bury to be informed they stopped trading on Friday ~ nooooooooo!!

Spoke to fleet folks and car has been diverted to another dealer, so waiting on update!!

I've had put on order yesterday a S40 2.0D SE Lux. Text conformation this morning confirms that deliver is scheduled for 14-24th Dec 08.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a early Xmas present.

The car has been diverted to the Stratstone dealership in Stoke on Trent.

The delay now is that they had to resubmit the reg docs to the DVLA, as its a different dealer (even though they are still Stratstone). They said it would take 7 days for the docs to return to them. Today (10th) is the seventh day. So hopefully I will get a call this week to arrange the long awaited delivery...

This is beyond rediculus!

The DVLA had rejected the transfer as my damn fleet company (GE Fleet) had forgotten to send the dealership the insurance Cert. 'kin typical. They did a similar thing when I got my Saab.

Hopefully the required doc will be taken to the DVLA at Shrewsbury tomorrow. I just hope it's not going to take another 7 days as by then, i'll be away flying with work, so wouldn't be back for a further week.

I'm going to call DVLA very politely early next week to see if I can massage their turnaround times.

Does anyone know any Staff at DVLA Shrewsbury???? hehee....
