Default How to remove XC60 wheel

Hi,

I'm trying to change the wheels on my 2021 XC60 plug-in hybrid.

There are four regular lug nuts, and one that is hexagonal and fits the wrench, but just turns without coming off. Is there some special too for this extra one? Maybe because it's a plug-in hybrid, and so has to fit the battery in the boot area, there is no spare wheel/jack/wheel-removing tools, so maybe I'm missing something.

Thanks in advance for any help.

As you have no spare, there should be a supplied tyre sealing kit

As for the bolt that just turns, that sounds to have a locking wheel bolt. There is usually a key/nut that you put on this bolt that then allows you to engage the. bolt and loosen it.

Cant help you with the location, but usually would be where the sealing kit is located or with the sealing kit. If you bought it used, then sometimes people put them in the glovebox
Hope this helps

Thanks Ian0803,

I'll go and have a look in the glovebox.

I would suggest you haven’t pulled the nut cover off. Should be a plastic tool in the boot to do this. This will then reveal the locking wheel nut.

Same here - it was in a small bright orange bag in the foam holding the tyre sealer kit and compressor under the boot floor.
