Default brake calipers

When you say v70 1999 or 2000 ,the date is critical .
At that time the model changed completely ,but was confusingly called still v70 .
For clarity these are often referred to as series 2 v70 .
They look quite different with a lower profile and much more rounded front end .
If it is one of them ,then you are out of luck.
But if it is the older type v70 ,much more like an 850(mechanically identical in fact),then they will be fine.Front calipers do not usually stick in use so you should be ok

Diesel or petrol does not matter
Before you buy others,if you hold the caliper in a vice, then grip the piston with a pair mole grips you will probably be able to turn the piston .
Turn it to and fro until it move easily and you should be ok ,front rarely seize solid unlike the back. You should carefully remove th dust seal if it is not already torn before doing this .
You may want to buy a new seals kit ,get the piston right out and renew the seals .Kit is only £14 or so ,any light rusting can be removed with p1000 wert and dry (wetted)
