rightly so, you cant expect commercial parties to spend months\years researching tuning methods only to give it away for free.

The ECU in your car is a Motronic 4.4, unlike all the others in the 850 cars which are the earlier 4.3 version and will require some specialist attention from the man from MTE who will be here again for some days in early March, so it will be a few bob more than a basic software download, but should be quick and not a killer of a price.

Is it possible you could call me on 01462 894100? to go over where we can do the work in relation to where we both are or PM or email me your 'phone number and I will call you.

Regards, Don.

Hi Don, nice one mate lol. You know I’m a neutral who only wants to pass on knowledge, swap ideas and even it up a bit. No disrespect was meant to any commercial members who wish to guard their secrets, just those that evade or miss obvious questions that are not that hard to answer. T28 turbo comes to mind post # 99 lol

Cheers

Gary.

HLM are doing a DIY tuning kit for 850 using T5 WB Commander - contact them for more details

Good work dave, keep up the advertising - are you getting a % fee!!

but are you being serious in regards to WB commander? its basically just a wideband guage and a simple boost controlled switch. I cant wait to see it fitted on a car.

However, if you want to go that route just buy a simple mbc, boost guage and an a/f guage.

Whats the problem with WB commander? If i use a simple mbc, boost guage and an a/f guage am i not just going to hit boost limits with the standard ecu?

Nice to see you've read all of the posts Dave

I'm not sure that the Wonderbar T5 WB Commander would work for a T5 engine that's been retrofitted into his vehicle with his current ECU etc.

Either way the WB Commander IIRC starts at £400 and is nothing special, being quite a simple afr box, with a few extras like a couple of analogue inputs and a possibility of a few relay outputs....

At a UK STARTING price of £400 it's exceedingly expensive imho for very little benefit (the price in the states is @£270)
